Medium Pressure closed reactor systems are ideal for Municipal Drinking Water & Reuse Water along with Food Processing - Beverage Plants - Pharmaceuticals and other industrial applications. The high amount of energy that is produced by medium pressure technology allows for fewer lamps, making the maintenance of the system easier and less labor intense.

STANDARD ANSI OR SANITARY FITTINGS

UV Doctor offers water disinfection systems which are presented here in the low pressure vertical & horizontal closed reactor configuration. These systems are measured by gallons per minute (GPM) flow rates. These systems can be used in small to medium industrial or commercial applications such as hospitals, laboratories, beverage bottling, food processing, semiconductor, electronics and aquaculture.

It is important to know the quality, the temperature, and the clarity (turbidity) of the water in order to properly calculate the dose needed to ensure the efficiency of the system. It may be necessary to pre-treat the water before the UV application with other systems such as carbon filtration, reverse osmosis or water softeners. These filtering systems can be supplied by UV Doctor upon request.

VALIDATION

UV Doctor can provide you with Ultraviolet light measurement devices that are completely documented and traceable to National Institute of Standards Technology. (N.I.S.T.) UV output measurements are documented along with a Bioassay to confirm results.

APPLICATION

In order to provide an accurate solution to any one particular application, a few factors need to be taken into consideration before sizing and selecting the type of UV equipment.

• Identification of the problem micro-organism(s) and required reduction of the bioburden be achieved. (Generally 5 log reduction or 99.999% E.coli)
• Description of material or device including the design and composition.
• The production or throughput speed required or desired.
• Is the movement of the product continuous or indexed?
• Available space to place the UV equipment. (Usually on the existing conveyor)
